Event Description

The Judgement of Paris was a wine tasting in 1976 that changed the world of wine forever. Steven Spurrier, a British wine merchant, organised a blind wine tasting competition, where judges tasted a selection of fine Chardonnays and red Bordeaux blends from France and California. Californian wines won both the white and red categories, causing outrage amongst the French wine judges, and catapulting Californian wine to fame!

At the Judgement of Hertfordshire, you will be the wine judges! We'll blind taste a selection of wines from France and California and score each one to see which wines come out on top.

No wine experience is necessary for this event, everyone is welcome.
